About Alchemy
Alchemy is a cocktail recipe app that helps you find drinks you can make with the ingredients you already have at home. It was built by Paul de Halle out of a simple frustration: most cocktail apps are either recipe dumps with no soul, or too complicated to be useful on a Friday night.
Alchemy is designed to be the app you actually open when you're standing in front of your bar. Tell it what you have, and it tells you what you can make. Browse 75+ curated recipes with clear instructions, proper technique notes, and none of the filler.
Who's Behind It
Paul has been deep into cocktail culture since moving to the US from the UK in 2015. What started as curiosity turned into years spent at high-end cocktail bars across the country, learning from world-class bartenders and picking up techniques along the way. He runs a home bar where he makes cocktails most weeks of the year, constantly testing recipes and refining ratios.
Between hands-on practice and studying the craft through mixologists like Anders Erickson and Educated Barfly, Paul built Alchemy to be the kind of app he wished existed: practical, opinionated, and focused on what actually works at a home bar.
